UWB based on chirp waveforms has the advantages of low cost, low power consumption and high processing gain. A multiple access UWB system based on multi-chirp waveforms is proposed, which enables the system gain merits of both IR-UWB as well as OFDM-UWB. System performance for multi-user UWB using multi-chirp waveforms is theoretically analyzed with details. Simulation results are given to show that such a system outdoes traditional UWB in the aspect of mitigating multi-user interference.
