The Bande Qichi manganese-celestine ore deposit is located in the magmatic belt at north of the central Iran zone. The major rock units exposed in the area include alternations of Eocene andesitic and dacitic volcanic rocks, tuff and marl. The relatively high Zr/Y and Th/Yb ratios show calc-alkaline nature for the volcanic rocks. The primitive mantle-normalized patterns of the volcanics show LREE enrichment and negative Nb, Eu, and Ti anomalies, but the overall abundance of trace elements is low. These characters of the host volcanics indicate an intra-arc rift setting for the volcanic- exhalative manganese-celestine mineralization.
