摘要
To investigate the effects of eccentricity error on gear dynamic response and wear distribution, a coupled translational-torsional model is established that accounts for instantaneous center distance, actual pressure angle, and time-varying mesh stiffness (TVMS). The complete contact process from double-tooth contact (DTC) to single-tooth contact (STC) and back to DTC process of the pinion is calculated for both eccentric and zero-eccentricity cases. Representative teeth are selected based on changes in mean dynamic transmission error (DTE) relative to the zero-eccentricity case. The results show that eccentricity error modulates TVMS according to meshing position and redistributes dynamic response and contact load around the gear circumference. The direction of the DTE change does not uniquely determine the wear response. Eccentricity modifies dynamic load, local curvature, contact pressure, and relative sliding simultaneously, resulting in different wear trends on the driving and driven tooth surfaces. Therefore, eccentricity reshapes the circumferential distributions of dynamic response and wear rather than uniformly increasing the response of all teeth.
