摘要
The rapid advancement of digital technologies has accelerated the transformation of shrimp aquaculture from conventional, experience-based management toward intelligent, data-driven production systems. This review synthesizes recent developments in aquaculture software and examines its role in supporting precision shrimp farming, with particular emphasis on Indonesia. The evolution of aquaculture software is discussed from early digital record-keeping applications to integrated platforms incorporating the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing, artificial intelligence (AI), computer vision, digital twins, and decision support systems (DSS). The review further evaluates the current status of digital shrimp farming in Indonesia and compares its level of technological adoption with leading shrimp-producing countries. Indonesia is identified as being at an intermediate stage of digitalization, characterized by increasing adoption of IoT-based water-quality monitoring, automatic feeding systems, and cloud-based farm management software, while advanced technologies such as AI-assisted feeding, computer vision, and digital twins remain limited to large commercial farms and pilot initiatives. Major software platforms and their capabilities are examined in relation to water-quality management, feeding optimization, production analytics, disease surveillance, traceability, and operational decision-making. Key barriers to software adoption, including high implementation costs, limited digital infrastructure, fragmented software ecosystems, inadequate interoperability, data governance concerns, and shortages of skilled human resources, are also critically discussed. Finally, the review highlights emerging opportunities for AI-driven precision shrimp farming and identifies future research priorities, including explainable artificial intelligence, multimodal data fusion, edge computing, blockchain-enabled traceability, digital twins, and autonomous aquaculture systems. The successful integration of these technologies has the potential to enhance productivity, profitability, environmental sustainability, and global competitiveness while accelerating Indonesia's transition toward intelligent and sustainable shrimp aquaculture.
