摘要
To characterize atmospheric deposition patterns of nitrogen (N) and soluble metals in marine environments, we conducted simulations over East Asian seas in 2017 using CMAQ. Particulate N dominated total N deposition (387.4 mg N·m-2·yr-1), with NO3--N peaking in winter and NH4+-N in summer. Fe, Al, and Mn were linked to dust emissions, while V and Ni were dominated by ship emissions. Spatial correlations between particulate N and most metals were strongest in winter (R=0.61-0.93). XGBoost model showed that physical factor primarily influenced chlorophyll a, but region-specific metals also played key roles, for example, Cd exhibited a biphasic effect on chlorophyll a. Overall, atmospheric N deposition directly fixed 62.1 Tg C·yr-1, soluble Fe contributed 1956.2 Tg C·yr-1 directly plus 5.6-118.3 Tg C·yr-1 indirectly via N fixation. Estimated NPP ranged from 230 to 935 g C·m-2·yr-1. These findings highlight the critical role of synergistic N-metal deposition in regulating marine productivity.
