摘要
Nutrient pollution in coastal bays is a major driver of various ecological and environmental problems, such as harmful algal blooms and hypoxia. Its management represents both a concrete application of the land-sea coordination principle. This presentation will talk about on the research progress of the independently developed Bay Ecosystem Nutrient Management Optimization (BENMO) model. The BENMO framework comprises four modules: a nitrogen and phosphorus pollution source-tracing module (BENMO|Tracing), a water quality and environmental response simulation module (BENMO|Simulation), a cost assessment module for management measures (BENMO|Cost), and a robust optimization algorithm module (BENMO|Optimization). We look forward to exchanging ideas with peers on the theories and modeling tools for the systematic management of nitrogen and phosphorus pollution in bays under the land-sea coordination framework.
