摘要
Basedth Mountain consists predominantly of granite and other igneous rocks containing quartz, feldspar, and mica. The rock mass shows light coloration with glassy textures and dark mineral components. Slopes range from 15° to 50°, and evidence of erosion, rock transportation, and sediment deposition is observed, particularly in lower-lying areas due to seasonal rainfall. The surface is characterized by a thin rocky soil layer with sand accumulation in depressions and limited vegetation cover. Engineering assessment indicates that the rock mass provides excellent foundation conditions for construction; however, excavation is extremely difficult and would require heavy machinery or blasting. Several faults were identified within the site, representing zones of structural weakness and indicating past tectonic activity through displaced rock layers. Field measurements from outcrops located between 11.6598° N and 104.74–104.75° E show a strike of 295° and a dip of 45° toward the northeast, indicating moderately steep rock layers. Discontinuities such as joints are present, with spacing ranging from approximately 40 to 65 cm. Rock Mass Rating (RMR) analysis classifies the rock mass as good quality with rating of 74, while Slope Mass Rating (SMR) results indicate that the slopes are stable with some blocks of failure in the future.
