摘要
The deep-sea currents in the Toyama Deep-Sea Channel (TDSC) in Toyama Bay, Japan were investigated using  mooring observations after the 2024 Noto Peninsula Earthquake (M7.6). Two turbidity current events were observed in March 30-31 and May 17-18 at the thalweg, characterized by strong, bottom-intensified downslope currents accompanied by transient temperature and turbidity increases. Comparison of pre- and post-earthquake current conditions suggestes an increased frequency of turbidity current events after the eqrthquake. A relationship between the increased turbidity currents and a transent oxygen depletion in the TDSC after the earthquake was suggested.
