To ensure that bench tests for wheeled vehicle transmission systems better reflect real-world operating conditions, this study proposes a bench test method for transmission system that is equivalent to actual vehicle load conditions. Focusing on a specific type of wheeled vehicle operating in six typical regional environments—cold regions, hot and humid climates, gravel roads, plateau areas, undulating terrain, and paved roads—the study conducts a statistical analysis of the distribution of gear position, speed, and torque load under these operating conditions. The one-dimensional distributions of gear position, speed with driving time, as well as the two-dimensional distributions of speed–torque with driving time, are obtained. Taking the gearbox gears—critical components of the transmission system—as the research subject, the accumulated fatigue damage under these six operational scenarios is analysed based on the rotating rainflow counting method. Furthermore, by observing the speed–torque distribution characteristics observed in actual vehicle tests and adopting the principle of damage equivalence between bench tests and field conditions, a set of bench test loading conditions for the transmission system is derived. This provides essential technical support for the reliability testing of wheeled vehicle transmission systems under bench conditions.
