This paper studies and designs a controllable sealing static ring structure for intelligent sealing applications. The actuator for adjusting the deformation of the sealing ring’s face is selected to be a stacked piezoelectric ceramic. By driving with piezoelectric ceramics, the conicity of the static ring’s face is changed, thereby altering the contact state of the face to achieve online control of the seal, with the aim of preventing sudden seal failure and extending the service life of the seal.
