Given the development of AI technology, creating an effective release strategy for digital products is crucial, especially in addressing user privacy concerns and emphasizing the importance of AI privacy protection technology (APPT). This study aims to explore the potential impact of AI privacy protection technology on developers and consumers. Additionally, our study also explores the optimal release strategy considering pricing, the level of APPT and the differentiated platform. We use the method of game theory and get some important conclusions. When the low-quality developer neglects privacy protection, the high-quality developer promotes retail and wholesale prices. However, when the low-quality developer introduces APPT, three scenarios emerge based on the willingness to pay and consumer privacy concerns. The study also reveals that the degree of consumer privacy concerns correlates with the rise in retail prices for a high-quality developer. Furthermore, in platform selection strategies, the high-quality developer prefers joint platform release, while the low-quality developer may choose independent platforms. The impact of APPT on high- and low-quality developers is contingent upon the release platform, quality discounts and consumer privacy concerns, thereby shaping strategic preferences for technology adoption or exclusion. These findings offer valuable insights for developers navigating the complex intersection of APPT, privacy, and pricing strategies.
