The Impact of Key Technologies of Digital Transformation on Supply Chain Resilience

      The adoption of digital transformation to improve supply chain resilience has become a predominant management practice. Therefore, the impact of key technologies of digital transformation on supply chain resilience has gradually become the focus of attention. However, the empirical results on their performance outcomes are mixed and fragmented across industries, economic regions, and logistic levels. From this perspective, this study aims to investigate the impact of three key technologies of digital transformation (i.e., big data analytics, artificial intelligence, and blockchain technology) on the overall supply chain resilience of companies through a meta-analysis. Meanwhile, the moderating effects of industry sector, economic region and logistics performance are also investigated through the subgroup analysis. Results revealed that key technologies of digital transformation positively affect the supply chain resilience, and this impact is more pronounced in the manufacturing industry compared to that in the service industry. Moreover, it is also found that the impacts of big data analytics and blockchain technology on supply chain resilience vary in regions with different logistics performance. The study contributes to enrich the existing literature by improving supply chain resilience from the perspective of key technologies of digital transformation, and the discussion of the performance of key technologies in improving supply chain resilience in different contexts is also important for business management practices.
