Erosion is a common occurrence along river bends, and it has caused significant damage, particularly to the road area adjacent. The access road to an industrial area in Morosi, Southeast Sulawesi, Indonesia which is located along the Konaweha River, has multiple spots that have been affected by significant river bank erosions. The investigation into riverbank erosion and research had been done on a number of significant concerns in order to have a better grasp of the mechanism underpinning river bank erosion.  It has been discovered that both the condition of soil and the composition of the bed material being the most important factors that led to significant bank erosions. Furthermore, alterations in river morphology and cross-sectional forms were also found to have effect on riverbank erosion mechanism. In order to minimize further damage to the access road, a number of potential alternatives have been explored. One of the potential solutions that could assist in preventing severe erosion is the construction of revetments along the riverbank. According to the findings of this investigation, the most appropriate solution is constructing revetment that offers a combination of hard structure and flexible structure. Hard structures, such as concrete piles, and flexible structures, such as boulder stones, were implemented in order to ensure that the access road would not sustain any further damage. In order to obtain a full answer, it is vital to examine other issues as well. In addition to the morphological change, it was pointed out that there was an excessive amount of sand mining in the downstream portion of the riverbank erosion area in Morosi. Changes in the slope of the river bed and the cross-sectional forms of the land around the sand mining area could become a problem in the near future. It is also crucial to prohibit excessive sand mining as part of the solution to the problem of riverbank erosion on the access road in the Morosi area.
