Hubei Province Digital Twin Pilot Project for Fushui Reservoir and Basin

Abstract：According to the requirements of the Ministry of Water Resources to vigorously promote the construction of digital twin basin, Hubei Provincial Department of Water Resources has initiated the pilot project of digital twin in Fushui Reservoir, which is listed as one of the provincial pilot projects. Fushui Reservoir is a first-level tributary on the south bank of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, with uneven spatial and temporal distribution of rainfall in the basin. During the plum rain season, it is prone to encounter high water levels in the Yangtze River, resulting in flood disasters. This article starts from the construction objectives of the digital twin pilot project of Fushui Reservoir, carefully sorts out the main construction contents of the project, develops results according to the construction steps, and proposes a clear path for follow-up work, setting a model for the construction of digital twin water conservancy in Hubei Province.
