Spatial pattern and accessibility of parcel collection and delivery points based on multi-source data: A case study of 2380 residential quarters in Dalian

摘要
As an important space carrier for distribution at logistics terminals, a reasonable layout of parcel collection and delivery points (CDPs) has an important impact on improving the efficiency of logistics distribution, making it convenient for residents to pick up express parcels and promoting the diversified development of cities. Based on POI data from Cainiao Stations and China Post in the main district of Dalian, taking 2380 residential quarters as examples, this study used the standard deviational ellipse, hotspot analysis, colocation quotient, GIS network analysis, and kernel density estimation methods to explore the spatial pattern and accessibility of CDPs in the city. The findings are as follows: (1) The spatial layout of CDPs exhibits a "dense centre and sparse edge", extending along the T-axis of the northeast-southwest-southeast direction, which has a high degree of overlap with residential land; (2) CDPs are concentrated on the streets of central urban areas, forming a "hotspot area", while being dispersed on the peripheral streets, forming a "cold spot area"; (3) The spatial proximity of the Cainiao Stations and China Post CDPs presents a coordinated competition development trend, and the synergy of central urban areas is significantly better than that of marginal urban areas; (4) There is a ‘centre high and edge low’ feature in the pattern of the CDPs’ distance accessibility level, and the accessibility level from high to low follows the order of Shahekou District, Xigang District, Zhongshan District, and Ganjingzi District; (5) The 15-minute walking range of the CDPs shows a T-distribution pattern in the central urban areas and a dot distribution pattern in the marginal urban areas. (6) The development mode of accessibility of the CDPs is the " '5+3' model", where the spatial development mode is greatly affected by Cainiao Stations, while China Post CDPs only affect the accessibility level at small regional scales.
