Abstract—In view of the problems that traditional intangible cultural heritage protection methods cannot achieve excellent results, virtual reality (VR) technology is used to realize the protection and dissemination of the intangible cultural heritage of Zhuanghe surface plastic lamps, and new ideas is provided for the transformation and innovation of cultural heritage in the context of the Internet. First, relevant materials and information of face plastic lamps are collected to establish a data information database, cultural and historical information, facial sculpture lamp information, process flow and other data are digitally preserved. Then, the paths and methods of digital protection, inheritance and dissemination are analyzed, and a virtual exhibition hall is created for diverse displays. The combination of cultural industry advantages brought by VR technology and the contemporary Internet enables people to experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage without leaving home, and at the same time, the face sculpture lamp culture is better protected, disseminated and developed while conforming to the public's preferences.
