Sampling Expansion for Passenger OD Matrix of Urban Agglomeration Based on Mobile Phone Data

摘要
    As for the travel demand of urban agglomeration, the traditional questionnaire survey method is often limited by cost and time, meanwhile, its sample size is small. In this paper, the travel information of a large number of passengers in Yangtze River Delta Agglomeration in China was extracted from one-month mobile phone signaling data, and the passenger OD matrix between cities in Yangtze River Delta Agglomeration was obtained. According to the market shares of the mobile operator in different cities, the Fratar method of the dual-constraint model was used to expand the passenger OD matrix. Based on this, the connection strength of passenger flows between different cities in urban agglomeration was studied. From the analysis results, it can be seen that the distribution of the passenger flows in the Yangtze River Delta Agglomeration presents a unipolar characteristic. The passenger flows of Shanghai are much larger than those of other cities in the Yangtze River Delta Agglomeration. The passenger flows between Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Changzhou and other cities are intensive, showing a certain concentration effect. For the high-intensity OD pairs, the amounts of production and attraction show a certain degree of symmetry. The findings of this study are helpful for transport planning and passenger transport organizations in urban agglomeration.
