With the large-scale deployment of renewable energy sources, the power trading system faces dual challenges of trust and efficiency. In this paper, we propose a novel distributed trusted transaction strategy for virtual power plants by using smart contracts on Hyperledger Fabric to provide energy services. A matching mechanism has been defined to realize automatic matching between purchases and sales. Furthermore, transaction records are stored in a blockchain distributed ledger, which will prevent trade disputes in transaction settlements. To develop and verify this market framework, Golang programming language is used to create the transaction smart contracts, and a modified IEEE 33-bus distribution system is chosen as the case study. Numerical results show that the proposed solution successfully improves the efficiency and safety of power transactions, and benefits both purchases and sales in the virtual power plant.
