摘要
The full-scale test pavement was paved, and the different kinds of sensors were embedded in the preset position of this full-scale asphalt pavement to obtain the real strain behavior law of semi-rigid base asphalt pavement under driving load and temperature variation of the asphalt surface layer in a natural environment. The Accelerated Loading Facility PaveMLS66 was used to load the full-scale pavement, and the field-test was carried out outdoor. This paper measured the strain behavior of asphalt pavement under driving load and established a theoretical model for temperature variation of the asphalt pavement layer. The theoretical model was verified through measured data on-site. The results show that the strain behavior of asphalt pavement is affected by many factors; the temperature is the most critical factor. When the pavement surface temperature rises from 30oC to 60oC, the maximum strain of asphalt pavement increases by 2 to 5 times. The asphalt surface layer in the longitudinal direction is subjected to alternating compressive stress and tensile stress under the application of the driving load. The temperature variation of the semi-rigid base asphalt pavement is periodic. The periodicity of temperature depends on the periodic variation of solar radiation intensity. Based on the measured surface temperature field data, the surface strain is greatly affected by the ambient temperature.
