摘要
According to the analysis of the vehicle accident type when negotiating curve, the skidding and rollover are determined as the means to evaluate the lateral stability of the vehicle. For more and more popular front-wheel drive (FWD) passenger cars (SUVs) with high center of gravity, CARSIM is used to establish human-vehicle-road simulation model. Based on “Technical Standards for Highway Engineering” (JTG B 01-2014), the most unfavorable road geometric combination models of horizontal curve, grade and superelevation with design speed of 100km/h was established. The influence of above road models under dry (0.80) and wet (0.50) asphalt pavement conditions on the lateral stability of passenger cars which negotiating steady state cornering is studied. Skidding safety margin of the point mass and CARSIM model are compared to verify the accuracy of the mass point model used in the standard. This study is useful for future road geometric design and transportation safety design. At the same time, it further enriches and improves the theory and method of road alignment design.
