摘要
For the purpose of reducing the interference of traffic flow of passenger cars and ensuring the drivers’ safety, the concept of separation of passenger cars and trucks (short for SPCT) has been proposed. However, the current related codes-Guidelines for Design of Highway Grade-separated Intersections (short for “Guidelines”) have not made provisions of detailed contents of designing the truck-only interchange ramp (short for TOIR). In order to check whether the detailed values of superelevation (both maximum value and recommended value) ruled by code are applicable for TOIR and revise them, this paper finishes the following works. Firstly, select six-axle articulated trucks as designed vehicles. Secondly, choose PMS as the mechanical calculation model of superelevation for TOIR; at the same time, refer to Japanese code to build an allocation model of superelevation and radius. Finally, Trucksim software is used for simulation. The simulation result indicates: the proposed minimum limited radius of TOIR is more reasonable than the value in “Guidelines”; Under different design speeds and radius, the proposed recommended values of superelevation for the TOIR based on the new allocation model are safer than the values in “Guidelines”.
