How to reasonably allocate the limited maintenance funds, choose the durable and effective maintenance measures at a reasonable time, avoid the project selection and the investment decision error, give full play to the maximum economic and social benefit of the road maintenance investment, are the common problem that the national highway maintenance and management department needs to solve urgently. On the basis of Jiangsu expressway as the research object, the highway pavement basic database is established, based on the road network detection data of 5 years, the typical major and intermediate maintenance and preventive maintenance measures in Jiangsu Province is analyzed and summarized, and the short-term, long-term, technical benefit indexes are comprehensively considered to determine implementation effect, the curing time and applicability of each typical maintenance measures. Implement appropriate maintenance measures to make scientific maintenance decision at the right time for the proper pavement, and provide the decision-making basis for the development of medium and long-term maintenance planning and maintenance investment strategy for the highway maintenance management department.
