摘要
This paper intends to prepare shape memory epoxy resin fiber (SMEP), explore pavement performance of asphalt mixture mixed with and without SMEP. The Marshall volume indexes of asphalt mixture mixed with and without SMEP were tested by the Marshall test. The high temperature performance, low temperature crack resistance and water stability of asphalt mixture were measured by Rutting test, Bending test, Immersion Marshall test and Freeze-thaw Splitting test. The corresponding SMEP proportion are 0, 1%, 2% and 3%. Results show that as the SMEP proportion increase, the bulk density, porosity and voids of mineral aggregate (VMA) of asphalt mixture all decrease, the voids filled with asphalt (VFA) and flow value both increase. The dynamic stability increases firstly and then decrease with the increasing of SMEP proportion. The low temperature performance indexes of asphalt mixture mixed with SMEP all meet with the criterion requirement. The residual stability of asphalt mixture is the maximum when the SMEP proportion is 1%. The asphalt mixture freeze-thaw split tensile strength ratio is the maximum when the SMEP is 2%. The results lay the foundation for applying the SMEP into asphalt pavement.
