摘要
With the development of economy and the increasing travel demand, some freeways have been overloaded by vehicles and need to be reconstructed or expanded. In addition, some freeways constructed in early stage have been damaged at different degree of road pavement, and road construction maintenance work is required. In order to ensure the traffic safety of the freeway during construction period, alleviate the traffic jam in the work zone, and improve the level of service, it is necessary to carry out the traffic organization scheme design of the freeway work zone. Firstly, this paper analyzes the traffic characteristics of the work zone from three aspects: driver, vehicle and road. Secondly, according to the traffic organization principle of the work zone, the traffic organization of the work zone is studied. from three aspects: section division, traffic facilities setting and the speed limit in the work zone. Finally, this paper puts forward the combined traffic organization scheme in the work zone which solves the problems that vehicles change lanes too many times and the number of available lanes reduce in the work zone. This scheme is conducive to ensuring the traffic safety and improving the road traffic capacity in the work zone.
