Based on the basic characteristics of TOD model (land use degree, high density, pedestrian environment, bus service), this paper studies the TOD planning characteristics and common points of some cities at home and abroad based on rail transit. Based on SWOT analysis method, system analysis method and case method, this paper realizes the conceptual analysis, mode analysis and case analysis of TOD mode of urban rail transit. The advantages, disadvantages, development index, influencing factors, size, requirements and principles of TOD planning in China are obtained. Through the detailed analysis of domestic successful cases and the development status of some cities, this paper finds out the contradictions of TOD mode of urban rail transit, puts forward feasible schemes, and puts forward some forward-looking suggestions and future research directions, in order to improve the development quality of TOD mode of urban rail transit in China.
