Impact of Driving Emergency in Fatigued Driving on Driver Fatigue Buffer

Fatigue driving has a great effect on inducing traffic accidents. The main purpose of this study is to investigate the driver's driving state change, after being given a driving emergency, under the condition that the driver has entered driving fatigue. Making driver's driving status change in time to avoid accidents is worthy of acceptability according to the research results. Simlab driving simulation experimental platform and D-lab behavior research experimental system have been used in this study. During the driving process of 36 participants, the human-computer interaction data steering wheel angle and the respective physiological indicator signals ECG were recorded. Swedish Industry Fatigue Questionnaire (SOFI-C) collects subjective fatigue status data before and after the driving test. The steering wheel angle and ECG are compared with the driving time by one-way ANOVA,using SPSS to observe the parameter changes at different stages. The conclusion tends to indicate that after the emergency occurs, the driver temporarily detaches from the fatigue state, and the interval between re-entering the fatigue state varies from person to person. However, it can be determined that the driver has been driving fatigue, in order to completely escape from fatigue, interrupting driving and taking appropriate rest deserved serious consideration.Furthermore,comprehensive monitoring the whole position of drowsy driving is greatly significant for reducing traffic accidents caused by fatigue.In addition,mature pre-fatigue behavior research combined with this paper is an indispensable part of achieving this comprehensive monitoring.
