摘要
Microcirculation-bus (MB), as the component of public transportation system, is an important travel manner which is often used by the elderly. This research aims to analyze the travel behavior among the elderly who use microcirculation-bus, by investigating 89 participants whose age are between 65 and 75 in Nantong, China. As the elderly intend to use IC Card which is for free over the age of 65, other data are collected from IC card of bus company. Drawing on the survey data, based on structural equation modeling (SEM), our analysis shows that most of them have the travel purposes, including leisure fitness and family shopping. If microcirculation-bus stations are near to their home, they are more likely to use this manner. But if the stations are far more than 100 meters, the will prefer to use electric bicycle which is more dangerous but convenient. Furthermore,The results show that age, gender, status of driver's license, number of electric bicycles of the family, travel purpose, travel distance, travel time and other variables have important influence on travel behavior among the elderly. Based on IC card data, it is concluded that the elderly usually take the first bus before 8:00 am, to buy fresh food material or do morning exercise. Finally, Through the study on the relationship between the travel behavior and the microcirculation-bus satisfaction among the elderly, the paper proposes some suggestions about microcirculation-bus planning and design.
