Abstract: For the past few years, tourist highway route has become a top search query, and some nominal distinctive tourist highway routes have been constructed in China. However, the most existing methods of choosing a tourist highway route were relatively subjective, and some tourist highway which has been built did not reach the satisfactory expected effects. In order to plan and optimize the tourist highway route, the grey related degree model was provided. On the basis of considering each factor of tourist highway route, the optimization function expression and the restricted conditions of tourist highway route were presented. Based on the best schemes definition, the schemes were arranged in simple order according to the distance between each scheme and the beset scheme by grey related degree, and the decision making model for the optimization of tourist highway route was presented. Then, a case of Yunnan tourist highway route was involved, and the applied results indicate that the method improve the used ratio of tourist highway route. Above all, this method was reasonable and feasible, and it was provided for the multiple decision problems of tourist highway route.
