摘要
Due to serious environmental pollution and energy consumption, the Chinese government is vigorously promoting the adoption of new energy vehicles (NEVs). However, the market share of NEVs is still small in China, and many Chinese consumers are hesitant to adopt them. Therefore, to promote the development of NEVs, this paper studies the main factors that affect the acceptance of NEVs. We discussed the role of problem perception and other factors in the acceptance of NEVs. A theoretical model was proposed as the first step, followed by a questionnaire survey. A partial least squares structural equation model (PLS-SEM) was used to test 13 hypotheses, 2 of which were rejected. The results show that publicity efforts, perceived effect, problem perception, policy support and environmental concern have significant direct effects on the acceptance of NEVs. Although subjective norm and problem perception have no significant direct impact on the acceptance of NEVs, they can indirectly affect the acceptance through influencing other factors. These findings give a deeper understanding of NEVs and can provide suggestions for policy makers and manufacturers to promote new energy vehicles.
