摘要
Urban public transit travel chains are usually composed of passengers walking, waiting, riding and walking. With the continuous improvement of the urban public transit system, the passengers' demand for the service provided by the conventional public transit system shifts from the existing accessibility to the punctuality and quality, which correspond to some bus service quality evaluation indicators including walking time, waiting time, and experiences in-bus. In the existing research results, the waiting time is usually affected by factors such as the frequency of vehicle dispatch, road operating conditions, and the coordination with the subway. However, there is little research on the correlation between the line size configuration and waiting time on bus station. In this paper, Guangzhou City's 2018-2019 bus service quality survey data is used to cluster the conventional bus stations into channel type sites, community-type sites, first and last stations (hubs) and other different types. Distribution characteristics of passenger waiting time of various types of stations are studied, as well as the correlation between the line size configuration and waiting time on different type of station. Then a mathematical model about this relationship is built to provide reasonable line sizes of different types of site when we need the public transit network to provide a reasonable waiting time service level.
