摘要
In recent years, with the acceleration of urbanization and motorization, the number of urban motor vehicles has increased rapidly. Meanwhile, a growing number of "Zombie Car" which long term non-mobile parking vehicles, are appearing on the streets of Beijing. These vehicles are known as "Zombie Car" because they get dusty. These vehicles are parked in the same place of urban public space for a long time. They are not used, moved or scrapped, or occupy urban resources such as roads, green spaces and pedestrian passages. In some places, people even put abandoned vehicles on the side of the road for a long time, storing goods in the cars, selling small goods, or painting various advertisements on the body for other purposes. It seriously affects the appearance of the city, urban traffic and residents' travel, and the urban problems brought by it are increasingly serious.
At present, there is no unified definition of "Zombie Car", which usually refers to all kinds of motor vehicles parked in public spaces, such as roadsides and public parking lots.
This paper takes "Zombie Car" in Beijing as the object. Through the analysis of the present situation investigation, analysis and calculation, clear definition, policy research, find the reasons of the "Zombie Car", and try to provides policy advice to solve the problem of "Zombie Car". "Zombie Car" is a new type of municipal waste, we should ease the impact of "Zombie Car" on the urban environment to the greatest extent, and fundamentally reducing "Zombie Car" the damage to urban traffic.
