The refrigerated container intermodal transport is a intermodal transport carried out by using refrigerated container as a carrier. It plays an important role in improving the efficiency of fresh cargo transportation, reducing cargo damage, reducing logistics costs, and promoting energy conservation and emission reduction. Based on document analysis, the study on refrigerated container manufacturing companies and typical transportation enterprises and station enterprise engaged in intermodal transportation of refrigerated containers. the status of refrigerated container intermodal transport in China is analyzed and the problems including the lack of technical requirements for refrigerated container, the lack of requirements for the construction of intermodal yards and the lack of temperature detection requirements for intermodal transport are summarized in this paper. What’s more, In view of the problems and refrigerated container intermodal transport development needs for technology specifications, practical suggestions to promote refrigerated container intermodal transport are proposed.
