摘要
The primary objective of this paper is to explore and optimize the traffic management measures based on the concept of Macroscopic Fundamental Diagram (MFD) in urban road network. Using the taxi GPS data and measured data of Shanghai, a Vissim model with dynamic assignment is constructed and modified. Combined the evaluation methods of simulation model and MFD, this paper explores the intersection channelization optimization measures and signal timing optimization measures internal the network. To further improve the network performance, the perimeter feedback control measure is designed and implemented. The results show that the implementation of traffic management strategies optimization had significantly improved the overall performance. The internal optimization strategies are useful but not enough to avoid the congestion. Combination of internal optimization strategies and the boundary upstream intersection feedback control strategy, an ideal control state that keeps the network working at its critical state can be achieved. The further study will concentrate on the dynamic optimization between the internal and external signal control algorithm.
