摘要
The irrational signal timing will lead to serious traffic congestion. However, the current research on signal timing has limitations on eliminating the dimensional influence between optimization indexes. The value of the index was rarely obtained via simulation before, and the application of Simulink on signal timing is lacking. This paper presents a signal timing method for an isolated intersection based on the Simulink. First, a queuing system is established based on the queuing law of vehicles at intersection. Second, the queuing system is put into Simulink for simulation. And then, delay and fuel consumption are selected as optimization indexes, and a signal timing optimization model is established. Finally, this paper shows applications of three optimization algorithms in optimizing signal timing at specific intersection in Chengdu. The result indicates that the delay and fuel consumption of optimized scheme is lower than the current to a great extent.
