摘要
With ever enlargement of vessels and international trade, terminal operators are more and more pressed by intensive container flows. Despite the increasing efficiency and scale of container terminals around the world, most of them are still under great pressure. As the main means of transportation for containers entering and leaving the port, it is a common problem to queue up at the gate because of the limitation of operation efficiency. long turn times have become severe problems around the terminal. Truck appointment has been widely used to mitigate the problems in lots of container terminals. This paper is mainly based on data to explore the operation rules of the gate, and rationally allocate the quota in each time period base on the operation efficiency. The main contributions of this paper include: 1. The paper analyzes various factors and influencing modes that affect the arrival of trucks at a container port in northern China; 2. The paper analyzed the service time of the gate in different time periods;3. A new queuing model was established for the allocation of quotas in different time periods to minimize the queues at the gate. In the experiment, the validity of the model is proved.
