摘要
The passenger car equivalent is a key parameter in road capacity research and level of service evaluation. The calculation method of passenger car equivalent was analyzed firstly at home and abroad. Then considering traffic flow characteristics for social vehicles that cannot enter bus lanes. Based on the method of average time headway and density factor, a calculation model for passenger car equivalent of the road segment considering the bus lane is proposed and the factors affecting of passenger car equivalent were analyzed. Based on the really measured data of bus lanes in Fuzhou, calibration of parameters through microscopic simulation models, a simulation research environment of bus lane is provided. Data of the average time headway is analyzed. The results show that there is a large gap in the average time headway between bus lane and non-bus lane. The average time headway of the total flow of a section cannot reflect the average time headway of a bus in a bus lane. Therefore, the average time headway method is improved. Which obtain the passenger car equivalent for bus lanes and non-bus lanes. The values are compared with the recommended values of urban road design codes. The passenger car equivalent obtained by the method proposed in this paper is more suitable for setting the section of the bus lane. It can reflect the actual traffic operation.
