摘要
CVIS has come up with ideas to provide a solution to make life easier and safer for visually impaired (VI) people. The primary intention of the proposed method is to solve the problem of communication of VI people with the infrastructure and vehicles on the road. In this paper, we have proposed the idea of IoT based support stick, which can help VI patient to walk on the road, cross the signal, and it also helps them to avoid the obstacles. The aim of the stick is to interacts through a communication channel with the CVIS system, to reduce the difficulities in the lives of VI people by providing them the information about their surrondings so they can walk safely across the roads. The IoT based stick consists of GSM, GPS, Electronic Gyro, XBee, and IR sensor. The proposed idea can eliminate many of the problems that the visually impaired people face on the road. This IoT Based stick is not only helpful for VI people but also helpful for the people suffering from night blindness. The proposed systems showed promising, reliable, and energy-efficient results.
