摘要
The transit signal priority (TSP) scheme is a promising method to reduce stop times and improve the travel speed of trams. However, it is difficult to realize non-stop intersection passing of trams in a long tram line using existing active and passive TSP methods. To overcome this problem, this paper proposes a novel Prioritized Tram Multi-BAND (PRI-TRAMBAND) model that combines the active signal priority (ASP) and green-wave band (GWB) schemes. As a case study, a tram line with a total length of 8.5 km and 39 intersections is designed to verify the effectiveness and applicability of the proposed model. The proposed method realizes non-stop passing of the designed tram at all intersections and can significantly improve the travel speed of modern trams. Moreover, the influence of the TSP strategy on road traffic is minimized, making the TSP scheme for modern trams more environment friendly.
