摘要
Reasonable urban space design plays an important role in reducing traffic congestion, alleviating the phenomenon of job-housing separation, improving commuting structure and reducing commuting carbon emissions. Different urban spatial structures such as single center and multi-center have different degrees of impact on the job-housing separation and the commuting carbon emissions. Taking Xi'an as an example, this paper analyzes the present situation of job-housing separation by focusing on different scales such as city wall (single center) and Da Xi'an (multi-center), then study the differences in commuting carbon emission at different scales which based on the questionnaire of Xi'an residents' commuting situation.The result shows that under the urban space design of multi-center development in Xi'an, the job-housing separation will be alleviated, and the potential of residents' commuting carbon emission reduction is huge.The research will provide reference to the improve the job-housing separation and the formulation of carbon emission reduction policies for commuter transportation in other big cities at home and abroad .
