Abstract: the urban traffic system not only provides convenience for people to go out, but also causes a series of problems, such as urban traffic accidents, environmental pollution, traffic congestion and parking difficulties. In the future, with big data and artificial intelligence technology, coupled with 5G fast transmission speed, the ubiquitous perception system in the city can be combined with the advanced big data management method, and the big data analysis and calculation model of multi-source space-time can be combined to build a set of intelligent system dedicated to solving urban traffic problems. By analyzing the characteristics of each new technology and the essential characteristics of urban traffic problems, this paper firmly grasps the construction train of thought of urban intelligent transportation system in theory, and provides the forward direction for promoting the development of urban transportation in the future.
