This paper introduces the research of constant tension machining of steel strip with tensile armoring layer for Marine flexible pipeline. A machining tension model was established and the causes of tension fluctuation were quantified. At the same time, the influence of plasticity on tensile stiffness of steel strip is analyzed, and the quantitative formula of tension fluctuation is modified according to the results. The simulation results show that the existing industrial PI (proportional integral) control is not ideal for tension fluctuation control, and the comparison between PI control and ADRC control algorithm is given.
