摘要
Linear machine has been verified to be suitable for some direct-drive applications with linear motion requirement. As a family member of linear machine, the transverse flux linear machine (TFLM) has attached widely interest for the advantage of high force density. However, in the traditional TFLM, the useless permanent magnet flux leakage occupies a large ratio of the total magnetic flux excited by permanent magnet, which leads to the limit of thrust density improvement. In this paper, a tubular transverse flux linear machine with dual-consequent-pole configuration (DCP-TTFLM) is introduced, which improves the force density and space utilization than traditional transverse flux machines. The topology and principle of DCP-TTFLM are introduced. Then, the electromagnetic characteristics of this machine is investigated by a finite element model, and the results shows the excellent performance of the DCP-TTFLM.
