摘要
This paper aims to present the control strategy for a new class linear switched reluctance motor with segmented secondary (LSRMSS). The prominent advantages of the presented LSRM is that the machine features segmental secondary which consists of mechanical isolated magnetic core. Compared to conventional LSRM, the presented machine has higher thrust density and efficiency. The control strategy for this new class linear switched reluctance motor by employing multiple-phase excitation mode is investigated. The presented strategy is to use a force control distribution function to calculate the required force shared by each excited phase. A comprehensive model combined with FEA is established to validate the feasibility of the presented strategy. The results indicate that it can significantly reduce force fluctuations in commutations area and significantly increase the stability of the motor operation. Finally, the prototype is fabricated and experiments are done.
