摘要
Highly integrated linear actuators convince with their small size and high dynamic response. With these basic requirements smart actuators can be realized that react adequately to external influences. This demands for integrated linear position sensors to feed the input of the required closed loop control. This paper analyzes the potential of linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs) suitable for integration into solenoids working as shift actuators. The focus is on two aspects: first, the maximization of disturbance rejection and second, a neat integration into the magnet. The investigated sensor design is modeled and analyzed in the electromagnetic and electric domain. After identifying the main design criteria, a robust sensor concept is presented. The proposed design solution addresses both issues – high disturbance rejection and full integration - successfully. Finally, a simultaneous simulation of the solenoid actuation and the sensor output signal proves the concept.
