国内外沉浸式双语教学发展对比及对我国大学英语教学的启示

摘要 

沉浸式双语教学起源于二十世纪加拿大魁北克省法语区,自创立以来获得巨大成功,为其他国家的第二语言教学提供了值得借鉴的宝贵经验。目前世界各地已有多种语言的沉浸式教学课堂,例如中英、日英、法英等。自1997年引入,经过20多年的发展,沉浸式双语教学法在我国幼儿、小学、中学及大学均有应用。在大学,高校逐渐开始开展沉浸式双语课堂,主要用英语传授专业知识,做到英语与专业的有机结合,但仍有问题需要解决,例如在大学英语课堂中,学生英语基础薄弱、对本专业不感兴趣等,使得我国大学沉浸式双语教学发展缓慢。该文将对沉浸式双语教学方法进行简述,并主要探讨沉浸式双语教学在我国的发展情况以及对未来如何有效地将沉浸式教学方法与大学英语教学结合进行建议。

Abstract

Immersive bilingual teaching originated in the French-speaking area of Quebec, Canada in the 20th century, and has achieved great success since its establishment. It provides valuable experience for other countries to learn from in second language teaching. At present, there are immersive teaching classes in many languages all over the world, such as Chinese-English, Japanese-English, French-English and so on. Since its introduction in 1997, the immersive bilingual teaching method has been applied to children, primary schools, middle schools and universities in China after more than 20 years of development. Chinese universities gradually begin to carry out immersive bilingual classes, mainly in English to teach professional knowledge, to achieve the organic combination of English and major. However, there are still some problems to be solved. For example, in college English classes, students have a weak English foundation and are not interested in their major, which makes the development of immersive bilingual teaching in Chinese colleges slow down. This paper will briefly introduce the immersive bilingual teaching method, and mainly discuss the development of immersive bilingual teaching in China,and then give suggestions on how to effectively combine the immersive teaching method with university English teaching in the future.
