托福课程在高校大学英语教学中的实践研究

根据《大学英语课程要求》,大学英语的教学目标是培养学生的英语综合应用能力,特别是听说能力,使他们在今后学习、工作和社会交往中能用英语有效地进行交际。托福考试是最具权威的国际英语能力考试之一,被全球 150 多个国家超过 11000 所综合性大学、机构认可。目前在国内的升学和就业中,托福成绩也相当重要。它的四个部分把听说读写融合在一起考查学生的英语综合应用能力,这和大学英语的教学目标完全一致。因此高校也有必要将托福考试作为研究对象来寻找大学英语教学的改革路径。本文以教师在新冠疫情期间,借助超星"一平三端"智慧教学系统开设托福课程为例,对线上线下相结合的教学模式进行了探索,通过分类教学、兴趣小组、课外活动,使学生的跨文化交际意识和交际能力都得到增强,更加适应我国社会发展和国际交流的需要。

The Practice Research of TOEFL Course in College English Teaching



According to College English Curriculum Requirements, the objective of College English is to develop students’ ability to use English in a well-rounded way, especially in listening and speaking, so that in their future studies and careers as well as social interactions they will be able to communicate effectively. The TOEFL test is the most widely respected English-language test in the world, which is designed to measure the English-language proficiency of people whose native language is not English. TOEFL scores are accepted by more than 11,000 colleges, universities, and licensing agencies in more than 150 countries. The test is also used by governments, scholarship and exchange programs worldwide. The TOEFL iBT test assesses all four language skills (reading, listening, speaking, and writing) that are important for effective communication and emphasizes integrated skills, which is completely consistent with the objective of College English. Therefore, it is necessary for colleges to take TOEFL as the research object to find the reform path of college English teaching. This paper takes the example of teaching TOEFL course with the help of Superstar's intelligent teaching system during the COVID-19 pandemic period and explores the online and offline teaching mode. with classified teaching, interest groups and extra-curricular activities, students’ intercultural communication awareness and communicative ability are enhanced to better adapt to the needs of China's social development and international communication.
