In this paper, an approach for along-track interferogram(ATI)-synthetic aperture radar (SAR) moving ship detection based on adaptive spatial filtering and local image entropy is proposed. Firstly, the primary potential targets on the sea surface are detected by using the ATI detector, followed with the pixel clustering to acquire the images of each potential targets. Then, an adaptive spatial filter is designed to suppress the sea clutter and optimize the output of those potential targets. After that, local image entropy for each target is computed in the filtered image. Then, it is utilized to accurately detect the moving targets. Experimental results on dual-channel dataset collected by the satellite TerraSAR-X demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
