The catalytic conversion of synthesis gas to mixed alcohols is one of the most promising processes for providing clean fuels, chemical intermediates etc. Among the catalysts developed by many researchers, alkali modified molybdenum catalysts are more attractive. The challenge issues in this catalytic system have been the improvement of total alcohols and C2+OH selectivity as well as space time yield of total alcohols. In this work, we try to design mesoporous carbon supported alkali-doped Co–Mo sulfide catalyst system to explore the catalytic performance of K-Co-MoS2 catalysts for mixed alcohols synthesis.
