Temporary infrastructure is created by placing every 40m of light BatNode battery nodes operating uninterruptedly for a period of 7 days. They form a transmission network for voice communication and data transmission. The mPhone portable digital radiotelephones enable communication functions on selected channels. One channel is for communication within the rescue team, and the other is for communication between the chief of the unit and the underground base. The channel configuration is flexible and allows you to program any functions according to the needs of the rescue operation. At the same time, mPhone radios have specialized functions supporting the safety of rescuers: alarm in the event of a disconnection of a member of the rescue team, searching for fumes by remotely triggering a sound signal in the selected radiotelephone, searching for other radiotelephones by the strength of the radio signal, motionless alarm in case of loss of consciousness by a rescuer, searching for lamps mining equipment equipped with radio tags. The system is equipped with an underground action manager's base apparatus enabling communication with the action staff via a commutated line, an alarm-broadcasting system line or a leased line. The base unit is also used to establish communication with rescue teams equipped with radiotelephones. The paper also presents complementary functions supporting the operation in shafts and the possibilities of monitoring the condition of the network, the location of members of rescue teams and gasometric functions.
