sudden load changes will adversely affect the active balance power grid, they have a great influence on the load, transmission line, and generator set. Some load changes are remarkably predictable, such as the load changes due to peak and valley electricity prices. Because of the fast adjustment of dynamic demand response and the large number of users willing to participate in demand response, dynamic demand response can be used to slow down the degree of sudden load changes. To mitigate the impact of predictable load changes, this paper proposes a new solution by using dynamic demand resources. First, predictable load changes that relate to electricity prices are established based on actual historical data. The impact of the sudden load changes on the local distribution network is also analyzed. Then, a response mechanism for dynamic demand response is proposed. Finally, a function that takes into account the benefits of the power grid, the dynamic demand response subsidy and the slope of the daily load curve is given, and then an optimization model is established according to the constraints of the power grid itself, and the output of the dynamic demand response is given using genetic algorithms. The simulation results prove that the proposed response mechanism can effectively solve the predictable sudden load changes caused by electricity prices.
